The ALROSA strategy aims to keep and maintain leading positions and increase rough diamond production to 41 mn carats per year. In 2014 the Company completed the following major projects which will allow to fulfilstrategic plans:<\/p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>the second module of the processing plant of the Lomonosov Mining and Processing Enterprise in the Arkhangelsk Region reached the designed capacity. \r\n<\/li>\r\n\t<li>production at Karpinskogo-1, a new pipe, started in the Arkhangelsk region. \r\n<\/li>\r\n\t<li>Udachny mine, the last of the four mines included in the program for the construction of underground mines in Yakutia, was put into operation. \r\n<\/li>\r\n\t<li>construction was completed of the Botuobinsky open pit at the Nyurba Mining and Processing Division, with a design capacity of 400,000 tonnes of ore.\r\n<\/li>\r\n\t<li>Ebelyakh River and Gusiny Brook placers owned by OJSC AlmazyAnabara were put into operation.\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n    <\/div>\r\n     \r\n    <div class='content-tabs__cols__item'>\r\n     \r\n<p>To maintain and increase the resource base the Company continued geological exploration works on the territory of Russian and in African countries. Growth in reserves and resources amounted at 25.6 mn carats.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>The organized sales policy based on long term contracts with diamond and jewellery producers enabled ALROSA to earn a record revenue of over $5 bn from sales of its products in 2014. The Company completed a list of long term clients for a new contract period of 2015 \u2013 2017.
